The longlist for the 2025 Stella Prize has been announced! For thirty years the Stella Prize has been celebrating and championing the stories of Australian women and non-binary individuals. Stella has been a major voice for gender equity and cultural change in Australian literature since it was founded in 2012. The Stella Prize is awarded annually to recognise and celebrate Australian women and non-binary writers, tackle gender bias in the literary sector, and share outstanding books with readers.
The 2025 Shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 8 April, and the winner named on Friday 23 May. You can read more about the Stella Prize here.
