Our best-seller from the past week is the upcoming novel by author Colm Tóibín (Brooklyn), The Magician. Tóibín’s latest novel is a compelling family saga set across a half-century, spanning multiple wars, which explores the contradictions of our internal and external lives. The novel manages to be both grand in scale and intimate in nature. The Magician is officially released tomorrow (31 August) and you can secure your pre-order copy here.
Other books making an appearance on our bestseller list this week include two additional yet-to-be-released titles. Pat Barker’s The Women of Troy is also out tomorrow, which continues the retelling of one of the greatest classical myths and follows on from the epic The Silence of the Girls. And – insert drumroll – released next week (7 September) is the latest from the inimitable Sally Rooney, Beautiful World Where Are you. We’re lucky enough to have secured a special hardback edition of this much anticipated novel (which includes an exclusive short story) and are pleased to be offering $5 off the RRP for a limited time; Secure your special edition for the same price as the paperback while stock lasts.
