Our bestselling title in March was our March Book of the Month by Sofie Laguna. It's a thrilling read about a monster that attacks a town by turning everyone into zombies, blankly staring at their phones or computers. It takes two girls to defeat the monster in a spectacular showdown.
Second place – after just a single week on our shelves – is a wonderfully interactive picture book all about pasta!
In third place was the debut young adult fantasy novel by Melbourne author, Kate J. Armstrong, which was launched at Readings Hawthorn. This is a feminist fantasy novel about three young women who have the power to bestow their considerable magic with a kiss. You can read our staff review here.
Our Readings Children's Prize winner for 2022, a exciting adventure story for readers aged 9 and up, continues to sell well. Also in our top twenty is a picture book showcasing the busy lives of tradies. When pre-schoolers don the high-vis and hard hats to get out there building and fixing things, you just know it's going to be adorable!
