Due to the current Victorian Stage 4 lockdown, all of our Readings shops are closed from Saturday 13 February until lockdown is lifted, which is currently due to happen at 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 February.

Though the shops are closed to the public for browsing, we are offering contactless pick-up of pre-paid orders for customers at our Carlton, Kids, and Hawthorn shops for customers who live within 5km of each store.

Here is some information about how our contactless pick-up service works:

• This service is available at our Carlton, Kids, and Hawthorn shops from 10am-4pm, Monday to Wednesday.
• You must phone ahead and pre-pay for your order over the phone, or email the shop with your order and contact details, and wait for a staff member to call you back and take payment over the phone.
• When you arrive to pick up your order, it will be passed out to you using a system that ensures there is no contact between staff and customers.
• Please note that as per Stage 4 restrictions our shops are a collection point only. If you have changes or questions about your order or if need to speak to a bookseller, you must phone the shop.

While we are pleased to offer this service, please remember the best and safest way to shop at Readings during Stage 4 restrictions is by ordering online or placing a phone order that can be sent out to you in the mail. We offer a $6.50 flat rate delivery Australia-wide and free delivery on orders $120 or over.
