A companion to Here We Are, that gorgeous, wise book that introduced our world and beyond to a young boy, What We’ll Build is a more collaborative exploration of building a life together between an adult and a girl. There is the physical building of a house etc., and then there is the development of intangible perceptions and emotions that are fundamental to our very being. The latter needs to be built with sagacity and sincerity, and the nurturing of intrinsic values is a matter of trust and love as the child grows.

Here We Are was written for Jeffers’ son, and this new book is for his daughter. It’s a gentle, thoughtful and loving tribute that we can all share in – aren’t we lucky?
