From the team that created the wonderful Iggy Peck, Architect comes another gem. Rosie dreams of being an engineer. She tinkers away with the bits and pieces she has collected, inventing machines and gadgets. Sadly she hides her creations after a humiliating experience but when her great, great Aunt Rose comes to visit she is inspired to create a machine for her to fly in. Does it work? Briefly! Horrified that it crashes, Rosie wants to give up but G. G. Aunt Rose tells her: ‘Life might have its failures, but this was not it. The only true failure can come if you quit.’ Then Rosie is handed a history book about women who were involved in aeronautics and their successful endeavors. Rosie tries again!

This is a charming book. The rhyme is fun, the illustrations are quirky and sometimes dolls can be part of a marvelous invention. Dream on girls!
