We are not the first generation to live through an event as seismic as the COVID-19 pandemic, even though it can feel that way as we grapple with its effects on our lives. Across Australia there are seemingly ordinary women who have overcome traumatic experiences of every kind- from war and exile to discrimination, life-threatening illness and devastating loss of loved ones. And their stories of weathering the storms of their lives and times are heartening proof of the resilience of the female spirit.

Based on interviews from their homes during lockdown, in Untold Resilience the team of journalists at Future Women uncover the real-life stories of an inspiring collection of subjects from older generations, gathering together the deep wisdom and perspective that can only be gained from lived experience.
