Lemonade’s mother named her for her favourite saying: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But now her mum’s dead. After relocating to her grandpa’s place in Bigfoot-obsessed Willow Creek, Lem meets Tobin. Quirky and determined, he’s the CEO of Bigfoot Detectives, Inc. and sole investigator for the town. Lem is reluctantly enlisted as his assistant. Together, they try to capture a shot of the elusive beast on film, but what they find is even more amazing.

Lemonade Liberty Witt is a sweet-toothed, sassy, ten-and-three-quarters year-old who has been sent from the city to live with her grandfather in the small, Bigfootobsessed town of Willow Creek following the death of her mother.
Lemonade is angry and sad about how her life has changed and she’s unable to imagine a future in her new surroundings. Then she meets her grandfather’s neighbour Tobin: an infuriating kid who is founder and head of Bigfoot Detectives Inc. She reluctantly joins him as they respond to reports of Bigfoot evidence and sightings around the town. Together they make a series of very interesting discoveries, not all of which are Bigfoot-related.
Lemonade and Tobin are uniquely charming characters, and this is a warm, funny and thoughtful book about friendship and family that gently and compassionately tackles some pretty tough themes.
