The Devils is a film so contentious that even after topping the UK box office it 1971, it was banned and shelved. Unsurprisingly the film holds an X rating, has never been released in its original form in any country and has spurred some of the most heated censorship debates in history. Following the 2012 release of The Devils, Raising Hell examines the film from its inception through its reception. It includes an exclusive interview with recently-deceased director, Ken Russell.
