Sunny Side Down: Tales of Mere Existenceis an illustrated cartoon book that explores the mundane, neurotic, and hilarious moments of life, and focuses on feelings of alienation, social confusion and perpetual self-doubt.

Meet Lev: Call him a Psychology 101 action figure. He’s just like any other young, urban sub-professional seeing the world through inch-thick goggles of self-consciousness. With occasionally inadvisable optimism, he’s a super-hero whose only power is the ability to cope.

The book’s format will alternate between the narrative and the ‘instructional’. The narrative will be straightforward stories with the Lev character (See 3 AM and Brand New Love ). The instructional will be ones of deeply cynical advice and social analysis (see Ask Dr. Lev ).
