Lloyd Jones, whose novel Mister Pip won the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, has written his first book of poetry, The Empty Grandstand. The wild secrets of boyhood is where Lloyd Jones sets off in his first book of poetry; intoxicated with images, and invoking dream spaces where language is forever in play.

David McCooey is a poet, sound engineer and author of several works. His latest book The Book of Falling writes how to fall is to be human. We fall in love, fall asleep, and fall from grace. And in this epoch that we have called the Anthropocene, we are witnessing nothing less than the fall of nature.
