Book Launch: The Desert Knows Her Name

Join us to celebrate the launch of The Desert Knows Her Name by Lia Hills, renowned author and poet.

The Desert Knows Her Name revolves around a girl who walks barefoot out of the desert and into the outskirts of a small Wimmera town. She is given sanctuary by Beth, a regenerative farmer who lives on the edge of the desert. The mysterious arrival of this ‘desert girl’ unsettles the community and stirs up unresolved tensions. Who is the girl and what does her emergence mean?

Tony Birch will do the launching honours.
