We are thrilled to have the author of I am Sasha in conversation with Lisa Phillips, the Director of Education for the Jewish Holocaust Centre.
Anita Selzer’s novel focuses on German-occupied Poland in 1942, where young boys are targeted by the Nazis and a remarkable mother takes an ingenious step. To avoid suspicion, she trains her son to be a girl: his clothing, voice, hair, manners and more. Together, they face incredible odds as their story sweeps backwards and forwards across occupied Europe.
