The new Karen McManus young adult thriller has just been released and taken out the top spot in this week’s bestsellers. You’ll be the Death of Me is a re-interpretation of the classic teen movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but with a touch of murder to spice up the day skipping school. It’s brilliant!
Adam Goodes continues his strong standing with his beautiful new picture book and it’s also lovely to see the gorgeous new picture book by Melbourne duo Davina Bell & Alison Colpoys in the third spot this week.
The latest in the Anh Do Wolf Girl series has just arrived and is flying from the shelves. And this week we also have two big international releases make their debut - the newest Dav Pilkey graphic novel and the latest middle fiction comic story by English comedian David Walliams.
It’s also lovely to see the winner of this year’s Readings Young Adult prize back in the bestseller list. Future Girl is a beautifully crafted novel, written as the art journal of a young deaf woman finding her way in the world in a near future Melbourne where food security is a big issue. It’s a fantastic read.
