A very funny story about two sisters who have been exiled to their backyard with a ‘play outside, it’s a beautiful day!’ from their Mum. Unfortunately for Younger Sister, Older Sister just wants to read her book. Younger Sister’s solution is to point out that she DIDN’T want to play with Older Sister ANYWAY and instead she’s going to go and play in her totally amazing SECRET TREE FORT, which gets more elaborate and fantastic with every passing second. The sisters’ dynamic is very relatable and the beautiful illustrations layer in joke after joke. Overall, a total delight, and immensely re-readable. A picture book to pour over.
