It’s not often in Australia that we get to see full Offenbach operas, or much of his repertoire in fact. After watching this, I feel that is a real shame. With great humour and some stunning vocal displays this modern adaptation and somewhat surreal production of La Vie Pariesienne is highly amusing and enjoyable. Plus, no matter how humorous, singing in French is always gorgeous and I love the disco scene, fantastic choreography!
