Little Elliot Big City by Mike Curato

Good things come in small packages and Elliot is a cute little elephant who lives in the big city of New York. His tiny stature has its challenges but he is resourceful and has inventive ways to overcome his lack of height and enjoy life.

However, the one thing he really loves is cupcakes and he always gets overlooked at the bakery when he wants to buy one. Feeling defeated and alone, he meets someone even smaller with a big problem and he kindly helps them. One kindness is reciprocated with another and Elliot finds out there is something even better than cakes: friendship.

Children 2 and up will identify with being a little guy living in a big person’s world.
