It all seems pretty simple – a picture book about hats – and as we know, hats are fun but then again they can be serious. So the writers and illustrator are sneakily pretending their simple book is just about different hats and head-wear. We weren’t fooled! There are hats, but really it’s about countries and different jobs people do. The head-wear model teasingly never reveals his full face until the end, then just mysteriously pokes his head up from the bottom of the page while on the opposite side the big, bold red type shouts out the title: ‘I Got This Hat…’

This is a delightfully unpretentious picture book for young children, and there will be lots of loud joining in as you read this together. For ages 2 and up.
