THE MARTYRDOM: Th e Revenge of Art 1992-1994,

was written in early nineteen-nineties. It is a Surrealist poem,

with modern text, with projective verse, made up words, and

words made of capitals and small letters. It also had traditional

verse. It is the story of Julietta and Sebastian, as well as Godriella,

Tarketa, Xlara. Th ere are six completed portions, and two

unfi nished. Th e fi ctional Communist Left, and its 13th President

FiLMer MiNerd, in the State of New Jerzip, are confronted

by DeMORePs. Originally a computer poem in BASIC, with

sound. Here only the text is printed.

STEPHEN SWEIGART has been writing poetry books for

50 years. He has worked at various jobs, primarily at a large

distributor, for 60 years. He has lived in same house since

1985, near Philadelphia in New Jersey. He works part time

still though a senior citizen. He is an audiophile, gardener, and

studied cclassical piano at Temple and Rutgers Universities. He

has a BA in English from Temple University. He has traveled

oft en to Europe. He has also studied Psychiatry at Xavier and

University of Pennsylvania.
