When Jackson finally gets up that morning, in the spring of 1846, he has no idea how fast his life will change. He finds a golden horn while gathering kindling wood in the forest beyond the heather of the heathland. "Jackson Jones, you are the one," the red deer announces.

In this fable, the evil Shaman-fey blasts icy wind across the heath, it threatens to freeze all those in Waddyshire. Jackson and his friend Becky set out to discover what the deer means and save their village. Is Jackson Jones the one?
