In the wake of the Elders' betrayal, Neysa searches for her missing mate, Cadeyrn, who has been forced to shift into his inner beast and flee the Queen's Isle.

Her quest leads her down a path of betrayal and self-doubt, taking her to Heilig, the ancestral lands of her mother's kin. Her uncle, King Konstantin, calls upon Neysa ti vanquish an army of phantoms, restless spirits of the dead plaguing Heilig.

Neysa must choose to sacrifice herself to protect her loved ones from the phantoms, but the relativity of time itself stretches when an ancient timepiece, forged of both realms, becomes a weapon to separate the fae realm's major players. The clock moves the tapestry of fate from Heilig and Aoifsing, to the timeless streets of London. Left with only the tenuous aid of a former enemy, and the realization that she may have lost Cadeyrn forever, Neysa must battle the very foundations of time before everyone they know is purged.
