Virgil has bad social phobia. He can't leave his apartment. He gets virtually involved with Cynthia, a bipolar with a huge sex drive. They have virtual sex via computer and fall in love. Cynthia who has a husband breaks it off. Virgil contemplates suicide but is rescued by Samantha, a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Samantha rehabilitates Virgil with medication and psychotherapy.

The two join with Stephen a psychiatrist in solo practice to form the Secret Clinic. They treat Social Phobia, Bipolar Disorder, Addiction. and PTSD patients.
