The contents of this book are taken from my book, 400 Years of America. The United States has 150 years of "prehistory" and nearly 250 years of history. In the last 100 years, the United States has been at war with Communism and has learned many painful lessons that, unfortunately, were not fully developed in that book. In view of the fact that there is no monograph on the extraordinarily important contents, I think it is necessary to make a separate book to explain them in order to draw the attention of the world. With the encouragement and support of my old friends, after a year of extensive additions and expansions, the book is now over 100,000 words. I would like to thank Mr. Li Yong, a Chinese anti-communist patriarch in New York, Mr. Yu Jinshan, President of the New York Chinese Association, and Mr. Wei Hong, an old friend, for their forewords. I would also like to express my gratitude to the author, Mr. Li Jianglin, for his article "In Search of the American Communist Party," which is reproduced in the appendix of this book. The writing of The One Hundred-Year Contest began in early April 2020. I told my friend Wang Kang, who was ill, about my plan to write the book, and he solemnly handed me Bloody Utopia and the Revelation of the Red Empire: The 100th Anniversary of the Russian October Revolution and asked me to attach it to the book. In May 2021, a book with his last essay, "A Century of Contest," was published in the United States on the first anniversary of his death. In his essay, Wang Kang's ironclad assertion that "if the Chinese Communist Party does not change its ways, there is only one end to it: it will never be destroyed."
