A young girl named Jessie is given a gift from her grandma. The gift is a paintbrush, and Jessie wonders if it is magic. The brush helps Jessie discover a gift she was born with, a gift she shares with her grandma. Is the paintbrush magic, is the gift a very special thing that she and her grandma share, or both? I am a first-grade teacher in Edwardsville, Illinois. I hope my stories help children understand they are each born with a special gift inside, and that we each have a purpose in our lives. This book, along with my first published book called Show Your Shine, include my own children, Josh and Jessie, and my mom, who is the illustrator of both books.
