Paige Petterson had just learned that her recently deceased husband, Alan, found dead on the toilet with a girly mag on his lap, had included a clause in his will that left a cool million per year to his former secretary, Samantha. Alan's partner's wife, Janice, was now banging at the door, wanting to retrieve her thong underwear, her "lucky charm," that she had left in Paige's bathroom during a rendezvous with Paige's neighbor at Alan's shiva. All the Westchester wives knew of Janice and none would befriend her. They were fully aware the knock-out redhead and her ample charms could seduce any man. On that particular morning, Paige will never know if it was the lack of sleep, the pent up grief, the anger of betrayal, or simply a moment of weakness, but she did something that no woman in Westchester had ever done before. She confided in Janice. Thus began an unlikely friendship, and the morning ritual of lattes and laps around the Scarsdale track, two more lemme fatales in designer jogging suits and gold jewelry. Paige, coached by Janice, re-enters the dating world and has hilarious encounters with doggie dates, internet dating, and a nudist cruise to Alaska. She finds romance in Paris and her local bookstore. Paige has typical midlife confidence crises, but finds her strength as she helps Janice face breast cancer. In the end, the mystery of the will and the money and the secretary all trace back to one surprising person. It seems the women of Westchester were right to not trust Janice.
