Paco received a 25 years prison sentence for his crime and was subsequently moved to a high-security facility. Accompanied by guards, he sat in a pickup truck with another Inmate as they traveled. However, the pickup truck experienced mechanical problems along the way.

Paco seized the chance when their vehicle halted on the roadside, engaging in a fierce battle with the guards and ultimately eliminating them both. Together with a fellow inmate, they fled into the desert of Arizona, evading capture. Their next plan involved crossing The Mexican border to begin afresh with new identities.
