My American Dream
M C Commelin
This book tells the particular story of my vocation as a fine artist and its impact on my life. It embarks on memories of my childhood, where my passion for Anglo-Saxon culture was revealed, travels around the world during the glamorous years of the beginning of commercial aviation, and my journey before emerging into a painter's career.
It describes my painting exhibitions in Paris, San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley and my immigration to the U.S.
Without chronology, it raises fantastic experiences and selected emotions at my memory's whim, ranging from comical to earnest, joyful, sad, disturbing, and painful.
It addresses the impact of technology and presents the pleasure of living in our time despite its cataclysms and the current political disorder of America, shocking and disturbing.
