The story takes place during the disintegration of the Russian Empire. It is a high-tech adventure that encompasses espionage, action, deceit, and love. Thunderghost, is a Hypersonic Turboram Waverider, that rides its own shockwave, akin to an aeronautical surfboard. There are aerial battles, a killer-sub chase under the ice-flows, but above all, it is about the hijacking of an American Shuttle, and the consequent American response.
