Nicole's life is . . . complicated.

Then there's her after school job--being a Hero-in-training named Refraction. Luckily, she has her mentor, Starlight, to help her learn what being a Hero is all about. Juggling all these aspects of her life while keeping her Hero identity secret is a tall order.

But when the mysterious Tifuld Sapphire is stolen from right under her nose, Nicole's life goes haywire. With the power of the Sapphire in a Villain's hands, every Hero is in danger of losing their super human abilities! It's up to Refraction, fellow Super Hero-in-training, Junior Justice, and a thief named Finch to save the Sapphire, the world's Heroes, and to learn what it means to become true heroes . . . while maybe figuring out how to accept Margaret along the way.
