The Ruling Seven are faced with difficult choices when it is discovered that someone has learned to thwart their magic. Without the sisters’ foresight, they must gamble on a game of intrigue to keep those that would take from them all they have built, including Constellation City. Not knowing who to trust, Jade enlists the help of those close at home, while Riley, Tasha and Xavier are sent with their friend Jin to battle the spreading sickness of a corrupted Tree of Life, in the land of C'den. They must find a woman who has fled for her life to restore the corrupted Tree of Life.

Simultaneously, Xavier and Gordon travel back to Earth on a final journey to stop those who, with the rebels, are planning to breach the Wall and conquer Constellation City. Both quests must finish before the Wall is closed or they will be trapped forever. It will take all of their combined strength and magic to defeat the evil that is growing within their own ranks and in a darkening world around them.
