The European Agreement on Main International Railways Lines (AGC) was drawn up at Geneva 31 May 1985, under the aegis of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), with the objective of facilitating coordinated intergovernmental action in the development of a European rail network. This publication contains - in a single, non-official, document - the consolidated text of the AGC Agreement, including the basic instrument, its amendments, and corrections that have come into force by the dates indicated. Only the text kept in custody by the Secretary General of the United Nations, in his capacity as depositary of the AGC Agreement, constitutes the authoritative text of the Agreement
