The sleeping model has inspired visual artists from Bonnard to Balthus, Vuillard, Valloton, Matisse, Picasso, Brancusi, Dali, Masson and many others, for more than a century. This publication brings together some 50 works by various artists that feature a figure reposed in deep slumber.
