Rites and traditions of the Waoule people of Cote d'Ivoire
Pyco Djeh
After a long immersion in his native culture, author Djeh Pyco has written this opuscule which has the advantage of presenting the operating modes of four selected rites of the Waoule people, with a view to accompanying the users of traditional worship.Having noted that in current practices, the ceremonial of rites and traditions is everywhere hackneyed for lack of written references, the author took the option of conducting research in the Walebo, in order to codify the rites of civility, the rites of To'nvle, the rites of marriage and those of funerals in Waoule country. This will shed light on the ritual and cultic procedures that should help everyone carry out the above-mentioned rites.
