The aim of this study was to assess the self-perception of complete denture wearers who sought care with the aim of having a new denture made. Twelve patients took part in the study and the OHIP-14 questionnaire was used to assess and measure the level of satisfaction of the patients in question after six months of using the new prosthesis. Two interviews were carried out: an initial interview and a follow-up interview after six months of use. In general, around 91.6% (11) were satisfied and reported a slight discomfort with chewing, due to the regional diet, which is mainly made up of manioc flour and fish. And 8.3% (1) of the patients reported being dissatisfied after delivery, but did not return for the necessary adjustments and returned for the final interview. The conclusion is that it is important to restore the patient's aesthetics and masticatory function, as these are important factors for quality of life, and that there was also a change in self-esteem when the patients showed satisfaction with the result of the new dental prosthesis.
