Development of a self-guided quadcopter using GPS signals
Alexandre Santos
This project relates to the concepts of control and automation, analogue and digital electronics, microcontrollers, embedded systems, mechatronics, robotics and radio frequency signals. To build a quadcopter capable of flying over windy areas and recording information, we will need all these sophistications. When the quadcopter takes off, its first function will be to stabilise itself so that there are no accidents in strong winds or that it doesn't interfere with filming or recording photos. To do this, we will use a controller board programmed in Arduino. After stabilising itself, the controller board will provide the function of guiding by radio frequency control or self-guiding by GPS route.
