Malnutrition in Hiv-Positive Pregnant Women in Tarka Lga, Benue State

This study examines the risk of malnutrition among HIV-positive pregnant women in Tarka LGA, Benue State. Using a quantitative survey, findings show that 69.8% lack access to nutritious foods, 74.6% stress the importance of nutritional education, and 68.2% support targeted educational programs. Additionally, 73.0% link malnutrition to adverse health outcomes, 71.4% to worsened maternal outcomes, 79.3% to stigma, and 73.0% to socioeconomic barriers. The study recommends targeted nutritional programs, educational initiatives, stigma reduction, and enhanced community support systems.
