The urban heritage areas in Minya vary between: areas where urbanization continued in the era of the Old Kingdom and the Greco-Roman era, such as Kum al-Ahmar in Sharona, Tahana al-Jabal in Minya, and Khashm al-Wadi in Samalut, areas in which urbanization continued in the era of the state. The modern and Greco-Roman era, such as the Antar stable in Abu Qurqas, and areas where construction continued in the Greco-Roman and Coptic era, such as Touna al-Jabal in Mallawi, and construction continued in the Egyptian, Greco-Roman, and Coptic eras, such as the Jabal al-Tair area in Samalut and Al-Ashmounin in Mallawi.
