The use of resources to promote an education geared towards emancipation and the construction of autonomy involves the assimilation of technologies in the classroom, in order to make education more dynamic and more accessible and attractive to the main subjects of the teaching-learning process: the students. This paper presents a reflection on the role played by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in building the autonomy of students on the Integrated High School Technical Course in Administration at the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo, Venda Nova do Imigrante (Ifes-VNI). Using qualitative methodology and research techniques such as questionnaires, interviews and documentary analysis, we analysed the points of view of the student body, teachers and pedagogues regarding the emancipatory process of the school and the participation of ICTs in this system.
