In this book, I try to approach in a coherent, scientific and fluent way the reasons that lead family farmers to be disadvantaged in relation to large landowners. Evidently, as an agronomist, I know the immense importance of the properties for the generation of jobs as well as for the economy, but I believe that land is a good that should not be distributed in an absurdly unequal way. It is also worth to remember that one of the attributions of the Agronomist Engineer is to study the worker’s social questions and the agrarian questions, in the discipline of rural sociology, that is in the curriculum of all the Agronomy schools in Brazil. I wish this book to be discussed among college students, agrarian science undergraduate students, professionals and the community in general. This book is suitable for use in high school sociology subjects, as well as for rural sociology, for Agronomy schools all over Brazil and professionals.
