Tese de doutorado apresentada em 1998, mostra uma revisao de adjuvantes e saponinas com estruturas e texto discutindo um possivel relacao atividade/estrutura deste complexo produto natural de caracteristicas anfifilicas onde as porcoes polares (acucares) e apolares (agliconas) desempenham varias funcoes. Neste trabalho podemos observar a relacao de algumas saponinas em funcao da Leishmaniose e testes in vivo e in vitro. As saponinas foram isoladas de uma planta do Nordeste, Albizia saman e testadas em modelos in vivo e in vitro contra a Leishmaniose.
