En esta investigacion se evaluo el acoplamiento de un Reactor Discontinuo Secuencial anaerobio/aerobio a fotocatalisis con nanotubos de TiO2 para la degradacion del colorante Rojo Directo 23, el cual contiene en su estructura enlaces azo, los cuales lo mantienen estable y dificil de degradar por tratamientos convencionales. En la fase anaerobia se llevo a cabo la biotransformacion del Rojo Directo 23 a aminas aromaticas, las cuales fueron eliminadas en la fase aerobia del tratamiento biologico, posteriormente el efluente con remanente de RD23 se trato mediante la fotocatalisis para su eliminacion.
