El objetivo del estudio es determinar el somatotipo de los velocistas (n=6) de ITSON Nainari mediante mediciones corporales, para saber si se tiene el somatotipo que se busca en dicha disciplina y teniendo asi una comparacion del somatotipo de los velocistas de ITSON con el de un atleta internacional. El estudio se llevo a cabo a traves de un diseno descriptivo-comparativo de tipo transversal, describiendo y analizando las variables para la determinacion del somatotipo de los velocistas de ITSON. El somatotipo fue determinado por el metodo de Heath y Carter (1980), aplicando mediciones corporales como pliegues cutaneos, circunferencias, peso, talla y diametros. En la investigacion se estudio (n=6) atletas del selectivo de atletismo (velocistas) ITSON Nainari en ciudad Obregon, Sonora.
