A contemporary approach to one of the most amazing animals in prehistory. An adult triceratops weighed more than ten tons, yet was a herbivore and traveled in herds to protect itself from carnivores. The predators were careful not to approach the group, fearing the long horns of the adults. But a young triceratops away from the others was very easy prey.
