This publication is based on the extensive material accumulated in the gazette of the Ministry of Finance Journal of Finance, Industry and Trade. This weekly magazine was published from November 1883 to October 1917, until 1885 was called the Index of government orders of the Ministry of Finance. Annexes to the Bulletin is the balance of the credit institutions, reports of commercial and industrial enterprises, government agencies pointer by the Ministries of Finance, Trade and Industry, and others. Also, as a supplement to the magazine since 1893 release of Commerce and Industry of the newspaper. Work on the material collected in the book began in 1885 and was completed in 1894. All the joint stock companies such as, according to the approved regulations in 1885 on taxation complement-enforcement charges were obliged systematically to disclose the results of their activities. The same rules were obliged to inform the Exchequer edition Herald of Finance lists of all companies and partnerships, main boards which are within the boundaries of the provinces, as well as other information. Thus, the basis for the book includes reports of enterprises, published in the Bulletin of Finance , in the form in which they provide for the announcement of the company in the press. In addition to the statistics collected in the seven editions of the second volume, published in a planned work (the first volume) with the general conclusions and historical sketch of occurrence and development of joint-stock business in Russia.
