This publication surveys the work of German artist Albrecht Schafer (born 1967) and in particular his site-specific creations for the Museum Morsbroich–a neo-Baroque castle surrounded by a moat. Drawing on the museum’s architecture, the artist plays with daylight, movement and visibility in works that range from text-based installations to graceful wooden constructions.
