For his paper collages, Bjoern Braun (born 1979) carefully cuts out photographs from old illustrated books and reassembles them in fresh ways: a mountain range might grow out of the shingles of a church roof. Braun’s sculptural works follow a similar logic–nothing can be destroyed unless something new is created from it.
