Das Stuck, erster Teil einer nicht weiter ausgefuhrten Trilogie, wurde nie aufgefuhrt. Boehmen um anno 740: Szenen aus dem Magdekrieg wechseln mit Schlaglichtern auf den Kampf zwischen heidnischen Priestern und Missionaren aus dem Morgenland. Clemens Brentano (1778 - 1842) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller und neben Achim von Arnim der Hauptvertreter der sogenannten Heidelberger Romantik.
