When Oskar Reinhart (18851965) bequeathed a significant part of his remarkable art collection chiefly French 19th-century painting but also a number of outstanding Old Masters to Switzerland, he did so on condition that the works of art would never be loaned. This volume, with full entries on the entire collection of 207 works by 45 leading international scholars and superb plates, makes these works available to the world.
