Aus der ehemaligen Universitat Rinteln (1621-1809) sind aus dem 16. und 18. Jahrhundert noch etwa 300 Werke als Teil der Kreiserganzungsbibliothek im 1817 eroeffneten Gymnasium Ernestinum erhalten geblieben. 40 Werke, u.a. Luther-Schriften und eine fruhe Lutherbibel werden ausfuhrlich vorgestellt.
