The American Slater Bradley (*1975) is a cross-disciplinary artist. His works, which move between painting, photography and installation examine the fields of science and faith and connections between the mechanisms of the universe, have already been exhibited at the Guggenheim and Whitney Museum in New York. At the centre of this new publication are Bradley’s most recent international installation works from 2016 to 2018, in which collective spiritual experience, sacred sites, and personal history are examined based on topics of transcultural cosmology, philosophy, and mythology. The book also features one of the final published essays by Mayan calendar systems expert John Major Jenkins and a link to original music created by Oscar-nominated composer Dustin O'Halloran for Bradley’s Sundoor at World’s End installation at the Church of Mary Magdalene in Venice, Italy in 2017. AUTHOR: Slater Bradley was born in San Francisco in 1975. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and lives and works in Berlin.
